Maundy Thursday: April 1, Evening service, 7:30
The word “Maundy” comes from the Latin name for the day, Deis Mandatum, which means “The day of the new commandment.” With this meaningful service, we remember that it was at the Passover supper on the same night that he was betrayed that Jesus gave us his commandment to “love one another as I have loved you.” We will share the bread and cup of the last supper around a table in the social room, followed by a Tenebrae service of readings and music in the sanctuary.
