Diaconate
The Deacons of this Church are members called forth from the congregation by the Holy Spirit and by nomination, one from each Ministry and four nominated by nominating committee, from the congregation-at-large, set apart to their tasks by congregational election.
The Deacons are the executive and administrative body of the Federated Church. It is the primary function of the Diaconate to ensure balance and communication is maintained as we seek success in nurturing our roots. By this we know our roots as the purposes that call us together in worship and work, and recognize the need for care and watchfulness to ensure no root goes untended nor another overdeveloped. The Diaconate will need to ensure effective use of our strengths and talents to assist in appropriately balancing the workload.
The Diaconate will endeavor to see that we cherish the diversity among us and seek opportunities for multigenerational involvement throughout all our activities.
