Ministry of Worship and Music

This Ministry is composed of people called forth from the congregation and set apart to do their tasks by the Holy Spirit and by their own devotion to the work of this Church.

The choir director and organist shall be members of this committee ex officio with voice and vote.

Worship is at the center of our life as a congregation. Here the Word of God is spoken, praises are said and sung, prayers are offered, and the veil between the Holy and the human is most transparent.  Here the sacraments are observed, and the traditions of the church are taught and practiced from generation to generation.  Worship is an act of the individual in community; worship instructs, interprets, inspires, and confirms God's love for God's people, our love for God, and our love for one another.  To worship together in the beauty of holiness is one of our most sacred privileges as a congregation.

This ministry shall be entrusted with the overall aspects of worship and the music program.
